Recipes: BBQ brisket sliders paired with an espresso old fashioned

Flight Club Denver offers a winning combination of comfort and classy

Prime Pairings

Prime Pairings is regularly spotlight a Colorado-crafted recipe paired with a Colorado-crafted cocktail, beer or wine.  

Flight Club Denver's chef and mixologist collaborated to create this savory meal designed to pair perfectly with their aromatic and roasty Espresso Old Fashioned. If cooking isn't in the cards, stop by and order the combo at Flight Club Denver near Union Station, where you can also enjoy high-tech dart games.

BBQ Brisket Sliders

Sandwich ingredients
3 slider buns
6 oz beef, brisket cooked 
2 fl oz BBQ sauce
60 g shaved red cabbage 
0.5 oz shaved carrot 
Dill pickle, crinkle cut

Instructions 
Steam brisket for 20 minutes. Once complete, drain and shred the meat with a fork, add BBQ sauce, reduce and keep warm.
Toast slider buns. Scoop the brisket and begin assembling the sandwich. 
Mix dressing with shredded cabbage and carrots, add mixed slaw to the sandwich.
Top with bun and add pickle curved over a skewer.

Dressing ingredients
80 g dijonnaise 
2 fl oz white wine vinegar
30 g honey 
30 g plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp salt & pepper, mixed 

Instructions
Combine Dijonnaise, yogurt, honey, white wine vinegar and S&P to taste.


Espresso Old Fashioned

Ingredients
2 oz Stranahan’s Whiskey
0.5 oz Real Vanilla Syrup
1.5 oz Owen's Cold Brew Mix
3 dashes Scrappy's Chocolate Bitters

Instructions
Add all ingredients to mixing tin with cubed ice and stir. Add more cubed ice and stir until chilled. Strain into glass with fresh, cubed ice. Garnish with an orange peel
