St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on tap, plus comedy and beer festivals and much more coming to Colorado

By the Thirst Team

Get Out of Town is our roundup of the best events across Colorado for the next couple of weeks. Check out our March performing arts preview here, and read on for festivals, sporting contests and other happenings. For more, check out our events calendar.

Major comedy festival in Aspen through Sunday

The 2026 Aspen Laugh Festival will bring top comedians to the Wheeler Opera House starting today, and running through Sunday. Daily Show correspondent and co-host Josh Johnson has two headlining sets on Friday night. Other comics include Pete Correale, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Ali Siddiq, Iliza Shlesinger and Daniel Tosh.

St. Patrick’s beer release Friday and Saturday in Arvada

Plenty of local breweries and distilleries will toast St. Patrick this weekend (and on Tuesday). But Talnua Distillery in Arvada always takes the Irish holiday to the next level. The 2026 Olde Saint’s Keep release on Friday and Saturday will also include pipe and drum bands, other live music, food trucks and custom cocktails.

St. Patrick’s Day puppy parade Saturday

Boulder Social's third annual St. Patrick's Day Puppy Parade is on Saturday. A percentage of event proceeds will benefit POSO Dog Rescue, which also will have adoptable pups at the event. Registration starts at 11 a.m., and the parade starts at 1 p.m. The event also includes vendors, a dog-friendly menu, party photos and a costume contest. Parade participants will also receive a free beer.

Bockfest in Lakewood Saturday

Green Mountain Beer Company hosts its fourth annual BockFest on Saturday. The daylong celebration of German beer has a tap takeover of four house beers, plus a Wibby Brewing bock and an imported German brew. The event also includes goat selfies, music by the Polkanauts and food specials by Sizzle.

Paralympic ceremony Sunday in Colorado Springs

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum hosts a watch party for the Paralympic Games closing ceremony on Sunday. The museum also hosts meet and greets on Friday and Saturday with paralympic athletes. A daily guided tour of winter sports moments also takes place every day at noon at the museum.

Winter Luau in Edgewater March 21

Joyride Brewing hosts its fifth annual winter luau from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21. The party on both brewery floors includes tropical vibes, tiki-inspired beers, Hawaiian music, an oyster bar and tiki mugs.

Women’s expo coming March 26

The SuperiHER Women in Business Conference & Expo will bring prominent speakers and business leaders to the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield for a full day on Thursday, March 26.

Freedom concert coming to Denver March 27-28

The Denver Gay Men’s Chorus will present “The Pursuit of Happiness: Warding The Freedoms of America,” a concert celebrating the advancements of the LGBTQIA+ community over the last 250 years. The concert on March 27 and 28 at the Elaine Wolf Theatre in Denver will honor trailblazers like James Baldwin, Bayard Rustin, Harvey Milk and Julian Rush.

As always, please send us your events and announcements. We’re happy to share them. If they don’t fit in the Get Out of Town column, we will add them to our events calendar.
