NFL game-day hangouts for non-Denver fans

August 28, 2025 Steve Graham

Society Sports and Spirits is a favorite hangout for Houston Texans fans.

Find your football tribe before the season starts next week

By Johnny Burkin

The Broncos may be sacred around these parts, but even amid a sea of blue and orange, there are still those who would rather place their fandom elsewhere. Whether they're out-of-state transplants or just that one family member who insists on going against the grain, it can be tough to support your team behind enemy lines.

That’s why, as a way to remedy this, we’ve put together a list of bars, breweries and restaurants that are known to be some of the best game-day hangouts for some of the biggest and proudest NFL fanbases operating inside Broncos Country.

Atlanta Falcons

Dirty bird enthusiasts are always welcome at The Fainting Goat, Denver’s self-professed Atlanta Falcons bar. There, fans of the team can hoot, holler, and probably even vent about how the franchise is paying Kirk Cousins nearly $30 million to sit on the bench.

Baltimore Ravens

“Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.” That might have been Edgar Allan Poe’s way of encapsulating what Broncos fans felt after that brutal 2013 playoff loss. Setting aside some pent up bitterness for a moment, it’s no secret that the 2025 Baltimore Ravens enter the season as contenders. They have a two-time MVP quarterback in Lamar Jackson, a freakish All Pro running back in Derrick Henry, and a defense that isn’t too shabby either. So, if you’re a member of the flock that’s looking for a Sunday watch party, look no further than the Rocky Mountain Ravens. This local group of displaced Raven fans is known to host gatherings at Chopper’s Sports Grill.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills Mafia is known for being loud, rumbustious, and their game days are the stuff of legend. So just imagine how wild the party will be if Josh Allen and the boys deliver the franchise's first Lombardi Trophy. The shock waves will even be felt in these parts as WestFax Brewing Co. – with its two locations in Lakewood and Colorado Springs - knows how to support the blue and red on Sundays. WestFax even named a brew for the team: The Pillieve is a portmanteau of pilsner and the Billieve slogan. Then, there’s also Jackson's Lodo, the current meetup spot for the Colorado Bills Backers.

Carolina Panthers

Most pundits believe the 2025 Panthers are a team that is still rebuilding. But forget what the talking heads are saying, because passionate fans will support their team through thick and thin. Take the Mile High Cats for instance, a proud Panthers fan club that makes its game-day home at Will Call.

Detroit Lions

Gone are the days of the Lions being viewed as a laughingstock of the NFL. This team is hard-nosed, hungry, and ready to compete for the Lombardi Trophy. Just ask the folks down at the Candlelight Tavern on South Pearl Street in Denver. After all, they claim to be the city’s best Detroit Lions bar.

Green Bay Packers

At this point, someone has to ask: where is the secret portal? Or is this some kind of Invasion of the Body Snatchers scenario playing out, because the number of Packers fans and bars in Colorado only seem to be growing. Wally's Wisconsin Tavern, Swanky's, Badger's Pub, and Windfall Brewing Co, are still some of the usual suspects.

Houston Texans

They might not be overtaking their cross-state rivals anytime soon, but since coming into the league in 2002, the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys have basically been operating on a level playing field. Zero Super Bowl wins, to be clear. While that’s definitely a sore spot for “America’s team,” the Texans on the other hand, have been quietly building a promising young team over the past couple of seasons. It’s the kind of team that will without a doubt draw some large crowds and some even louder cheers at Society Sports and Spirits, the place to be if you’re a Texans fan in the Mile High City.

Kansas City Chiefs

Don's Club Tavern remains the go to for Chief’s Kingdom on Sundays. That’s all that needs to be said until someone ends their reign of terror in the AFC West.

New Orleans Saints

Located in Denver’s Cole neighborhood, Nola Voodoo Tavern lives and breathes New Orleans. And that's exactly how the bar's owner, Henry Batiste, a New Orleans native himself, likes it. So don’t be surprised to find the Who Dat Nation well represented.

Philadelphia Eagles

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia when the team is winning Super Bowls. But going back to back, now that’s a whole different story. Still, finding a place to catch a bird’s game in Colorado shouldn't be too difficult. The Larimer Beer Hall isn’t shy about where its loyalties lie, and neither is Mirror Image Brewing in Frederick. Both of them offer friendly confines for all those Eagles fans out there.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Everyone’s favorite ayahuasca-ingesting quarterback returns for his 21st season in the league, this time with another of the NFL's most storied franchises. And while having a 41-year-old QB like Aaron Rodgers, is probably not ideal, the man still is a future hall of famer. Either way,  it won’t deter the masses of Steelers fans from converging to The Rusty Bucket in Lakewood, one of the best places locally to support the black and yellow.

Seattle Seahawks

If the Richter scale-inducing capability of the “12th Man” is anything to go by, then Rhein Haus Denver must be one of the loudest beer halls in the state. As the game day headquarters of the Mile High Sea Hawkers fan group, it’s surely the place to be for any lost 12s in the area.

Here are a few more quick hits for NFL fans.

Chicago Bears

Da Bears fans look to Hayters & Co. in downtown Denver for collective energy.

Cincinnati Bengals

Origins Sports Bar & Grill is the place for fans of Joe Burrow and company.

Cleveland Browns

Stoney's Bar & Grill is the meet up spot for Mile High Browns Backers.

Dallas Cowboys

Fans have been known to gather at Spot Bar & Grill.

Indianapolis Colts

The Icehouse Tavern hosts a number of Colts fans.

Los Angeles Chargers

Bolts’ groupies often rally at the aforementioned Society Sports and Spirits.

New England Patriots

Pats fans no longer gather at Three Dogs Tavern. Some fans have been known to gather at Historians Ale House on Broadway.

New York Giants

Occidental, near West 32nd Avenue and Tejon Street, is the home of the Big Blue Denver Crew

San Francisco 49ers

5280-The Mile High 49ers gather at Tony Tenderonis, 1937 Market St.

Teams with no known Denver home

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find definite watch bars for a few teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders. Let us know if you know where their fans gather.
