Colorado Wine Walk on tap

August 7, 2023 Steve Graham

Dinner, tasting events set for Aug. 25 at Dairy Block in Denver

The Thirst Team

The Colorado Wine Walk will introduce attendees to the expanding world of local wines on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Blanchard Family Wines hosts the Walk in the Dairy Block Alley, adjacent to the Blanchard winery. Winemakers around the state look forward to the event because they get to discuss their ever-improving products. Visitors get to taste and compare the state’s finest offerings.

Twelve award-winning wineries from the Western Slope and the Front Range will attend. Look for Carboy Winery, The Storm Cellar, Centennial Cellars, Sauvage Spectrum and Infinite Monkey Theorem, among others. Charcuterie and desserts will be available as well.

The Colorado Wine Walk Grand Tasting will take place from 7-10 p.m. Music will be provided by Something Vinyl Club. Those who arrive early can explore LoDo and the Dairy Block itself, which houses shops, eateries and a hotel.

Tickets for the Wine Walk are $50, and include unlimited wine samples, a commemorative glass, discounted purchases, and the opportunity to chat with wine makers and winery owners about the burgeoning Colorado scene. VIP tickets are also available for $75 and include early entry to the Grand Tasting at 6 p.m., a lounge, swag and expedited checkout on purchases.

For those who want to dive a little deeper, a Colorado Wine Makers Dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. Expect a 5-course dinner paired with a variety of wines. Cost is $150.

A portion of all wine sales will be donated to Colorado Youth for a Change, a non-profit that addresses barriers to learning by providing individualized support to students pre-K through high school.

Advanced tickets for the 21-plus events are required and are available here.
