Dickel + Leopold whiskey dinner

Leopold Brothers and George Dickel Whiskey host a four-course whiskey pairing dinner tomorrow night at Fire Restaurant in Denver’s Art Hotel. Master distiller and owner Todd Leopold will present each hand-selected whiskey. Cost is $125 per person. Click here for tickets and more info.

For those who can’t make the dinner, Leopold just bottled a new batch of summer gin with lemon myrtle as a highlight botanical, and is selling a limited-edition poster (right) to mark the new release.

Pink party in Denver

Carboy Winery hosts the Rosé La La La pink party from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, with rosé wines from 15 Colorado wineries, paired with snacks curated by Carboy executive chef Scott Hybbeneth. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to The Lion Project.

Yampa River Festival

The 43rd annual Yampa River Festival is set for Saturday in Steamboat Springs. If the river is flowing at safe levels, the event includes kayak, pack raft and stand up paddleboard races, as well as a gear swap and much more. Yampa Valley Brewing Co. and Storm Peak Brewing Co. will pour beers. To reduce waste, organizers are asking attendees to bring their own 12 to 16-ounce cups to fill.

… and a Riverfest afterparty

Yampa Valley Brewing Co. in Hayden will host the official afterparty for the River Festival at 6 :30 p.m. Saturday, with DJ Whoski spinning tunes at the Hope House. The brewery also hosts an 80s night with music by Thünderkatz from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
