New bar offers a modern twist on a classic pub game

Nothing beats a night out in Denver like good drinks, good food, and good company. Now take all that and combine it with the not-so-classic game of darts at Flight Club and you have yourself a unique, fun night out.

Launched in 2012 by co-founders Steve Moore and Paul Barham, Flight Club took the traditional game of darts and gave it an upgrade. In Denver’s 10,000-square-foot facility, guests can enjoy one of the three private, or 12 semi-private, playing areas for groups and get-togethers of all sizes. Denver is the Flight Club’s sixth U.S. location, and it’s near Union Station at 1959 16th St. Mall.

For Patrick Crow, director of operations for the Atlanta, Denver and Houston locations, Denver was an easy choice for Flight Club’s newest location. Its proximity to Coors Field and Ball Arena makes it a great spot for sports enthusiasts and people looking for a fun night out

“Denver’s active and sports-loving community seemed like a natural fit for Flight Club. We are more than a great bar. We are a place where like-minded, fun-loving people can come to do more than just drink or just eat. We are a full experience which makes us a great spot for social gatherings and unique events,” Crow says.

The venue’s most unique feature is its Social Darts. With Social Darts, groups of two to 12 with different skill levels can play numerous games on their state-of-the-art dart boards. Larger groups can host events.

If you’re planning to try Social Darts and meet new people, Flight Club offers a complimentary game at their Social Roll-Ups, Tuesday-Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 6 to 11 p.m.

“One of the best things for us as operators is to see the level of surprise expressed by first-time guests when they realize how all of these elements combine to create a truly special experience,” Crow shares.

But you can find more than just darts at Flight Club. Besides its numerous playing areas, the location has a bar and kitchen that serve craft cocktails, brews, and an elevated food menu. The outdoor patio features live music on Friday evenings, weather permitting, and welcomes pets to join in on the fun as well. Their happy hour menu runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. and features their special Draft Rosé and 12 Colorado-based brews.

“We understand the value in local fare and take pride in being part of the local community and finding the esoteric gems of the regions where Flight Clubs are located. My favorite on the menu right now is Denver Beer Co.’s Incredible Pedal IPA, with just the right amount of body and a touch of citrus,” Crow says.

Looking for something fun to do on Halloween weekend? Flight Club will hold a Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 28, starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy Social Darts or stop in for some tasty treats and cocktails.
