October 11, 2023 Steve Graham

Baby goats will visit Station 26 on Saturday.

By The Thirst Team

We crafted a list of great events at Colorado craft libations businesses for nearly every day. So don’t blame us if you get bored.

TODAY
Charity salsa at Verboten
Verboten Brewery in Loveland hosts salsa and bachata dancing tonight at 8:30, with a lesson starting at 7:30. The event is free, but Verboten is collecting donations for the Children’s Miracle Network.

THURSDAY
Zac Brown Pre-Party
Kodiac Brewery in Centennial hosts a pre-party for the Zac Brown Band show at Fiddler’s Green. A concert ticket for either show earns BOGO beers and a special happy hour menu.

ALL WEEKEND
Anniversary party at Sunroom
Sunroom Brewing in Englewood hosts a one-year anniversary party Friday through Sunday, with four new beers on tap, live music, food trucks, and pop-up vendors including Golden Tintype, a local artist specializing in wet plate collodion portrait photography.
Sunroom also is the official after-party spot for the self-guided Englewood Murals & Mason Jars tour. Check out a series of murals around town, take photos and win prizes.

FRIDAY
Cabaret at DV8
Boulder’s DV8 Distillery hosts a pop-up variety show from Blue Dime Cabaret from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets cost $15, but also include access to the dance after-party and the retro horror night and costume party on Saturday night.

Haunted history at Spirit Hound
The Kindred Spirit Society presents the Haunted History of Lyons at the Spirit Hound tasting room on Friday (the 13th). Learn about ghost stories and legends of the town. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Pumpkins and pups at Living the Dream
Living the Dream Brewing in Littleton hosts a Friday the 13th Pumpkin Fest, with free pumpkin patch and carving station, kid and dog costume contest, face painting, raffles and pub games.

SATURDAY
Freshtober Fest at Emporium
The Empourium Brewing Company in north Denver hosts its fourth annual Freshtober Fest from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. The event is on the street in front of the brewery, and showcases fresh hop beers from 10 neighboring Denver breweries including Barquentine, Berkeley Alley, Burns Family Artisan Ales, Call to Arms, Comrade, FlyteCo, Hogshead, Joyride and Ratio. Little Red's Kitchen also will host a food truck, and two live bands will perform. The event, which also includes a jeans drive, is a fundraiser for St. Francis Center, which helps the homeless community in Denver.

Peaks & Pours Festival
Peaks & Pours is a whiskey tasting festival in Colorado Springs, with spirits from around the world, as well as food trucks, live music, cigars and a bartender competition. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Meanwhile Block.

Bounty and Brews in FoCo
Sproutin’ Up, a Fort Collins farming and job training non-profit, will host an evening of local food and beer at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bath Garden Center. The fundraiser is a celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary. Five local restaurants will pair food with beer from six local breweries. There will also be live music from Lewis Turner and a silent auction.

Baby goats at Station 26
Denver Love Goats will bring baby goats and other baby animals to Station 26 Brewing, the brewery in a former Park Hill fire station from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

SUNDAY
Gilmore Girls day at Luki
LUKI Brewery in Arvada hosts its third annual “Gilmore Girls” Day from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, with costumes, a live Q&A with actress Shelly Cole (Madeline), “Gilmore Girls” trivia, Dog Swami fortune-telling, a Yale hat station and more.
Limited-quantity VIP packages are available online through Saturday, and include bottomless Founders Day Punch, a Luke’s LUKI’s mug, an activity and snack pack, and reserved seating.

TUESDAY
Homebuying class at Mother Tucker
Thornton’s Mother Tucker Brewery hosts a Homebuyer 101 Class at 5:30 Tuesday with HOMEgirl. The event and the first beer is free.

WEDNESDAY
Pairing dinner at Reverence
Reverence Brewing, one of Denver’s newest breweries, will partner with its City Park neighbor Sullivan Scrap Kitchen for a four-course beer pairing dinner with braised beef, smoked trout salad, sourdough bread pudding and more. Vegetarian options also are available. The event starts at 6 p.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 18.

As always, please send us your events and announcements. We’re happy to share them. And enjoy your Colorado craft libations responsibly.
