Craft Drinks Scene Roundup Nov. 2 to Nov. 9

The Thirst Team

Maybe we are all recovering from Halloween or prepping our Thanksgiving recipes. Whatever the reason, it’s a relatively quiet week on the craft libations scene. But not to worry, there is still plenty to enjoy … responsibly.

Great Divide Gives Back

Denver’s Great Divide Brewing donates a portion of proceeds at both taprooms to Mile High United Way on Friday. United Way works to provide affordable housing, basic needs, early care and development, education and literacy, workforce development, small business support and tax assistance for Colorado families.

The group also gets $1 from every case of Denver Pale Ale sold in Colorado through November. Great Divide also just released a new Gingerbread Yeti and Hibernation Ale, the acclaimed winter seasonal that has been brewed for 27 years.

Release of the week

On Friday, Bear Creek Distillery will release a rye whiskey finished for six months in a Tawny Port barrel. Distillers said the whiskey is dark copper colored, with hues of red wine and butterscotch, with flavor notes of figs, stone fruit and port wine. Only 250 bottles will be sold, and cost $63 each.

As always, please send us your events and announcements. We’re happy to share them. And enjoy your Colorado craft libations responsibly.
