Enjoy A Beer with Your Pup and Support Dog-Friendly Breweries

This great cause includes BOGOs and freebies with purchase of pass

Sidewalk Dog is offering passes to consumers that will support the K-9 culture and net some great deals at dog-friendly breweries.

But, don’t worry, you don’t need a dog to buy one. Each pass costs $20 and comes with a pack of toys from KONG, a $5 coupon for ACANA dog food and a Sidewalk Dog bumper sticker. But equally important, it grants BOGO beers, and in some cases, a free beer at 28 different locations in the Denver area - some of which offer pickup options.

“We’re always looking for ways to get people out and about with their dogs, supporting dog-friendly local businesses and raising money for rescues and shelters,” said client success manager Casey Matter.

The money raised by each pass will be donated to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in an effort to find a home for dogs.

Based in Minneapolis, Sidewalk Dog expanded to Denver in 2018, and has since encouraged the normalization of dog-friendly environments. The female-run organization has gone about this goal in several ways. In 2017, they launched their first wave of passes in Minneapolis to raise awareness for dog-friendly businesses in the area. In 2019, they successfully raised $20,000 for animal rescues and shelters in Minneapolis.

“It’s a lot of doggone work to orchestrate these Dog-Friendly Passes,” Matter said, “but Sidewalk Dog uses them to reach new pet parents in our local markets and expand into new cities. The more people we know, the more good we can do”

Now that Sidewalk Dog has a presence in Denver, people can enjoy an organization that welcomes them and their dogs with open arms, and this act is shown through their passes. Each pass expires on Dec. 31, giving customers plenty of time to explore each brewery included in the offer.

Additionally, all readers of Thirst Colorado are welcome to use the code THIRST20 for 20 percent off their purchase. The offer is available until Aug. 31.
