There is still time to enjoy a great beer for a great cause at Woods Boss Brewing Company in Denver.

Throughout October, Woods Boss is partnering with Violence Free Colorado to support those in the community and spread awareness in order to end relationship violence.

The state’s domestic violence coalition, Violence Free Colorado, was founded in 1977. Since then, the organization has worked with hundreds of groups and individuals in local communities across the state to prevent and end relationship violence, support those affected by relationship abuse and make societal changes by communicating with the public.

To support the cause, Woods Boss brewed a Belgian Black IPA called, Out of Darkness, and will donate $1 from every full pour during October.

Owner Chad Moore said he was proud of the affiliation. "We are excited to partner with Violence Free Colorado during the month of October and to provide a little support for such a huge cause that affects so many in the community,” he said.

Giving back to the community was the ultimate definition of success for Moore when he envisioned operating the brewery. Now, Woods Boss partners with multiple non-profits, including House that Beer Built, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity that raises funds throughout the year to build a house for a family in need. Woods Boss also supports Colorado Water Trust, in which $1 from every Riparian Conservation Brut pale ale will be donated, as well as Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, which provides trail restoration in the state.
