Get your costume ready for Frisco Brewski

The town of Frisco has the perfect family friendly event for those who love craft beers, skiing and dressing up in costumes.

The second annual Frisco BrewSki is set for Saturday, March 11, at the Frisco Adventure Park and Frisco Nordic Center.

The event kicks off at 2 p.m. with a non-competitive ski tour that lasts until 4 p.m. The ski tour will include stops for beer tasting, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. It is open to skiers of all skills and ages. Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume.

However, the event does not end at the finish line. The after party takes place from 4-5 p.m. and includes brews from Outer Range Brewing Co., Dillon Dam Brewery and Breckenridge Brewery. There will be a costume contest judged by the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District with awards including “best costume” and “hardest costume to ski in.” Friends of the Dillon Ranger District volunteers “complete more than 60 projects every year, focused on improving trails, planting trees, pulling invasive weeds, educating forest visitors and more,” said Sarah Hoffner, a spokeswoman for Frisco BrewSki. “A portion of the proceeds from BrewSki will go towards funding these projects, which help to maintain Frisco’s natural beauty, and ultimately make outdoor recreation events such as BrewSki possible.”
