Randall named head brewer at Ska

Have a New Beer and Meet a New Head Brewer

After two years with Ska Brewing, Kurt Randall has been promoted to head brewer. Randall has been a part of the brewing industry in Colorado for 13 years. In those years, he worked for Flying Dog Brewery on the bottling line, as well as Breckenridge Brewery and Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey. He also headed up the Great Divide Brewing Co. quality control department. The combined experiences provided a well-rounded knowledge base before Randall went to work at Ska in 2015.

“With the exciting and innovative plans we have for our beers in the coming years, Kurt’s breadth of brewing knowledge will prove invaluable,” said David Thibodeau, co-founder of Ska.

Thibodeau said his familiarity will make for a smooth transition and added, “we already know he fits in well with our cast of characters.”

Randall will begin his job as head brewer by pouring a Coconut Curry Hefeweizen at Collaboration Beer Fest this Saturday. The hefeweizen is a collaboration between Ska Brew and Boulder Beer. Stop at Collaboration Fest to try a new beer and meet Randall.
