 Melvin Brewing continued its dominance this year by winning Brewery Group of the Year along with a gold for their pale ale.

 Wibby Brewing from Longmont was shown some Lager love through a silver medal for their Moondoor Dunkel.

 A special tapping occurred at the Avery Brewing and Odell Brewing end cap of the Mountain region area. Both breweries created a stout that was tapped at the same time and was poured through the same line, creating a mixture of both beers.

 Liquid Mechanics Brewing from Lafayette held a special "crowling" release. Only several crowlers of this specialty beer were poured.

The 38th state was awarded 38 medals, the second most of any state in the competition. Medal winning is never taken lightly at a competition in which each category includes an average of 81 competitors. California, which has nearly twice as many breweries as Colorado, took home the most medals at 56.
