9 Beers to Pumpkin-Spice up Your Adventures

September 12, 2019 Guest User

Fall Flavors on Display Across Colorado

By Natasha Lovato

Between Oktoberfest and Thanksgiving there are a multitude of seasonal beers making their debut throughout the season. We’ve compiled a list of different fall-flavor profiles that will make you want to say, “These beers are so hashtag autumn.”

The Hunt for Red Oktoberfest by Comrade Brewing, 6.1% ABV

Just in time for Oktoberfest, this Marzen beer is brewed with Munich malt and Hallertau Blanc hops. It’s cold fermented with a Swiss bottom fermenting yeast and lagered for eight weeks, giving it a smooth amber body, a noticeable spice bouquet and crisp finish.

Patchy Waters Pumpkin Ale by Holidaily Brewing Co., 6% ABV

Like all of Holidaily’s beers, Patchy Waters is gluten free. This smooth and sweet ale offers all of the tastes of pumpkin pie with hints of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and ginger. Without crossing the threshold of being a dessert beer, Patchy Waters will appeal to your sweet tooth all the same.

#PSL by Spice Trade Brewing, 6.7% ABV

The name says it all, Spice Trade Brewing’s #PSL Pumpkin Spice Latte is canned and in liquor stores now, ready for all of your favorite fall festivities. #PSL is infused with Novo coffee and a house-made blend of pumpkin pie spices and pumpkin purée.

Oktoberfest German-style Lager by Ska Brewing Co., 6.1% ABV

Gold Medal Winner of the 2018 Great American Beer Festival, Ska’s Oktoberfest is a clear crowd favorite. This amber-brown lager offers a nutty, bready and toasty Munich and Vienna malted taste.

Marzen Oktoberfest-style Lager by Green Mountain Beer Co., 6% ABV

It’s crisp and malty, the way a Marzen should be. Enjoy this lager on the Green Mountain patio alongside live music and spectacular views of the foothills.

Pumpkin Pie Spice Cream Ale by Mother Tucker Brewery, 5.7% ABV

Like pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top, Mother Tucker made sure to release something that is over-the-top delicious. They’ll even sugar the rim for you so you can have your cake and eat it too.

Chocolate Pumpkin Espresso Porter by Gold Camp Brewing Company, 5.7% ABV

As a warm welcome to sweater weather, Gold Camp created a Chocolate Pumpkin Espresso Porter. Brewed with roasted pumpkin, raw cocoa nibs and espresso roast beans, it’s hard to decide what’s more delicious, the smell or the taste.

Fluffy Pumpkin Toasted Marshmallow Porter by Odyssey Beerwerks, 6.3% ABV

Imagine ghost stories around the campfire. Now, imagine what that tastes like. With roasted pumpkins, seasonal spices, vanilla and toasted marshmallow, Fluffy Pumpkin pours the campfire tales and treats right into your pint.

Oktoberfest Lager by Platt Park Brewing Co., 5.6% ABV

Platt Park made sure to use 100 percent Germanic specialty grains for this Marzen-style beer. The Oktoberfest Lager has Huell Melon and Hallertau Blanc hops giving it the golden-orange color and malty taste that German beer is all about. Prost!
