The Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival

  • Riverbend Park 451 Pendleton Street Palisade, CO, 81526 United States (map)

The Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival celebrates its 15th year with an exciting line-up and a nod to the town that hosts it. The festival is a unique blend of established and emerging artists, spacious camping, local craft libations, lots of family fun for all ages and heaps of recreation.

Palisade is in wine country along the banks of the Colorado River with abundant organic farms, mountain bike trails, including the challenging Palisade Plunge, river recreation and good food. The festival is family friendly and intimate. The Happy Camper second stage showcases additional musical treats throughout the weekend. Palisade is just minutes from the Grand Junction airport, and right on the I-70 corridor from Denver.

This year's festival starts with a night of Colorado based artists including Telluride Band Competition winners The Fretliners, Rebecca Frazier’s Grateful Strings and Colorado favorites Rapid Grass. The night ends with a beloved All Star Jam lead by Mark Morris.

Saturday brings some of the hottest musicians in bluegrass including 5-string banjo virtuoso Tray Wellington; Grammy-nominated duo Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley (Rob is a 15-time IBMA Dobro Player of the Year and Trey is the 2023 IBMA Guitar Player of the Year), followed by jam grass leaders, Railroad Earth.

The celebration continues on Sunday with Goodnight Bedlam, The Last Revel and the dreamy music of North Carolina band Mipso, as well as additional acts yet to be announced.
