Food Fight for Scleroderma - an annual food competition for Denver's chefs and bartenders benefiting the Scleroderma Foundation.
The event will return for its fifth year on Wednesday, September 18th at the BAC Appliance Center in Englewood.
Overall, here are some highlights of the event:
There are (3) bartenders competing live during the VIP hour using their preferred spirit from The Block Distilling Co and an ingredient - announced 3-week prior.
The main event features (12) competitors: (6) savory, (3) sweet, and (3) sip. Each competitor will be judged by attendees and our panel to name the best of each category.
In addition to food and drinks, the event features beer and wine along with a multitude of silent and live auction items.
The proceeds from the event will benefit the Scleroderma Foundation - Rocky Mountain chapter. More than 300,000 cases of scleroderma are estimated in the U.S. with 80% of those being female. Due to misdiagnosis, it can take three years or more for an individual to be diagnosed properly.
