As a former mining town, Frederick has much to celebrate one of Frederick’s premier annual community events drawing thousands of people to Downtown Frederick for family-oriented fun and entertainment throughout the day. Located at Crist Park 105 5th St. and Centennial Park 630 8th St.
Frederick’s Miners Day includes a parade, burro racing (a burro is a spanish word for donkey and the sport is ingrained deeply in Colorado mining heritage), live music, activities hosted by downtown Frederick’s shops and restaurants followed by fireworks at Centennial Park.
Peel Handcrafted Pizza, a family owned and operated restaurant that prides itself in using fresh, local ingredients, will be hosting a Berthoud Brewing Tap Takeover from 12-4 p.m. Take a respite from the Miner’s Day activities to enjoy a flight of Berthoud beers and pair it with a delicious pizza. The following beers will be available at the tap takeover:
1888: Blonde Ale, 4.5% ABV 16 IBU
Monk Punch: Belgian, 8.7% ABV 27 IBU
5030: DIPA, 9% ABV 61 IBU
Golden Monk: Belgian Trippel, 9.8% ABV 31 IBU
Imperial Forged: Stout, 9.8% 42 IBU
