Colorado’s five weeks of Oktoberfest gatherings will certainly keep the thirst and hunger at bay. Towns across the entire state offer an overflowing stein of fun for every taste.

In downtown Denver, be sure to grab the lederhosen and secure a mug because Maxim and USA Today’s “Best Oktoberfest” will bring about 300,000 people to Larimer Street for the 49th annual Oktoberfest. It has been moved to September this year; however, that does not mean fewer brews, foods or activities. The six-day festival is spaced between two weekends: Sept. 21-23 and 28-30. Because the first week coincides with the Great American Beer Festival, the city is bursting with beer and food events. Purchase VIP tickets ahead of time to reserve an official Denver Oktoberfest stein as well as a T-shirt and have access to VIP bathrooms as well as all you can eat and drink in VIP sections.
