Whip out your shades and sunscreen and head over to Denver Beer Co.’s Canworks location Saturday afternoon.
Now in its third year, the Sun Drenched Music Festival is a celebration of all things summer.
“Our idea was to create a festival that celebrates Denver's 300 days of sunshine, showcase some great musical acts, and let folks enjoy some delicious craft beer,” said Diana Crawford of Denver Beer Co.
Music, beer and sunshine aren’t the only things to keep you busy this Saturday. “We wanted to create a festival that was relaxed, but also super fun. So we included sand volleyball, yard games, and big beer garden tables to encourage folks to make new friends,” Crawford said.
The Sun Drenched Music Fest comes just in time to celebrate the Denver Beer Co. converting to solar energy. According to Crawford, Denver Beer Co. has a fleet of solar panels at the Canworks location that are just waiting on final permits from the city to be installed. Once they go up, Canworks will be 100% solar powered, Crawford said.
Musical guests for this year’s event include All Poets and Heroes, The Guestlist, The Brevet, The Runnikine and Con Brio.
There will also be a live art-recycling exhibit and other sustainable efforts throughout the festival. The fun runs from 2-9 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at Denver Beer Co.’s Canworks location, 4455 Jason St. A ticket purchase includes one free beer.
