The wait for Denver Beer Company’s Olde Town Arvada brewery and taproom is almost over.
Denver Beer Co. announced last week that it would open its doors for a one-day “sneak peek” opening on Saturday, June 10, from noon-10 p.m. The grand opening for the new brewery will be next Saturday, June 17, starting at 11a.m.
Denver Beer Co.’s Olde Town location will feature a seven-barrel brewhouse, accompanied by a spacious taproom and patio. The new location will also have a permanent food truck concept inside the building.
“Since mobile food trucks aren’t allowed in Olde Town, we decided to just park one inside,” said Patrick Crawford, co-owner of Denver Beer Co. “We have selected a food truck partner in the folks who own and operate the Lucky Pie Pizza locations. They are going to be opening a burger concept called ‘The Mighty,’ and will be featuring grass-fed local beef and amazing fries cooked in our airstream trailer that we have converted into a commercial kitchen,” he said.
The sneak peak on June 10 will be part of Olde Town Arvada’s Second Saturday Summer Sounds series, a music and craft event that Olde Town Arvada hosts on the second Saturday of every summer month. This will be the public’s first chance to see the inside of the new Arvada brewery and it will have a full lineup of beers. However, The Mighty won’t be slinging burgers until the Grand Opening on June 17.
The opening lineup for the sneak peek event will include Chocolate Pale Ale, Water Tower Wheat, Drama Queen barrel-aged saison, Blood Orange Tandem Pedal IPA and Naked Saison. A portion of the proceeds from the sneak peek event will be donated to the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation, Denver Beer Co.’s 2017 non-profit partner that works in conjunction with Denver Parks and Recreation to ensure continued enjoyment of our mountain park system.
Although this is Denver Beer Co.’s third location in the metro area, they are excited to be a part of the friendly Olde Town Arvada community. “We have already been chatting with the folks at Hunter Bay Coffee Roasters about doing a coffee beer. We always love brewing collabs with our neighboring breweries as well,” said Charlie Berger, Denver Beer Co.’s other co-owner.
Denver Beer Co.’s Arvada location can be found at 5768 Olde Wadsworth Blvd. Formerly the Craig Chevrolet Dealership, the new brewery boasts garage-style doors that open up to make the whole place feel as if it were a patio, similar to their spot in Denver on Platte St.
