Eric and Dan Garfinkel created the perfect atmosphere for a brewery with a simple mission: family, friends and great beer.

“We are all family at the brewery,” says Dan, Eric’s son. “Everyone plays an integral role and we all help each other to make sure we continue to have fun and push the brewery forward.”

F&G has used their tight-knit approach to carve out their own niche in the explosive Boulder brewing market. “The Boulder community has been supportive of us and we are very thankful,” Dan points out. “Our taproom is open to everyone, and whether you are a seasoned beer geek or just getting curious about craft beer, we believe we have something for everyone. If we don’t, we will mix and match our beers until we find something for anybody to enjoy.”

Finkel & Garf’s beer is produced in a 15-barrel brewhouse, where father and son agree that fun must be part of the work equation.

As for the somewhat unusual brewery name, Eric’s childhood nickname was Finkel, while Dan adopted the nickname Garf. They decided to pair the monikers to help brand the brewery. Their logo is made up of a pseudo-family crest, which features a collection of different toys. Dan says the combination of their name mixed with the logo is what reminds them to have fun and not take things too seriously.
