Don’t mess with mom’s recipe!

The Thirst Colorado Team

Sometimes you just can’t avoid the fact that your mom is right.

Such is the case with Marble Distilling Co.’s Moonlight Expresso Coffee Liqueur, which was recently feted by Wine Enthusiast Magazine for its great flavor. The recipe originated with Eleanor Jane Baker, the mother of Marble’s co-founder and head distiller, Connie Baker.

Wine Enthusiast’s rating of 92 was humbling, Baker said. “My childhood memories of her espresso liqueur, made with love for homemade holiday gifts, inspired me to create this incredible artisan spirit to capture the heart and soul of a true family recipe.”

The dark, rich coffee liqueur is 52 proof. The recipe utilizes locally roasted Guatemalan coffee and Ugandan vanilla beans mixed with cold brew made at Marble. “Hints of chocolate make for delicious hot and cold cocktails, alone or in fabulous cocktail creations,” Baker notes. And, the liqueur is non-GMO and gluten free.

Moonlight Expresso also gathered a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold Medal at the Denver International Spirits Competition.
