In this two-hour workshop, Melissa Antone will cover six important off flavors (the "Cicerone 6") that are commonly found in beer and represent when something has gone wrong. This activity will help beer enthusiasts gain more confidence when tasting and truly knowing the difference between good beer and bad beer.
Tickets are $25, and a CTA pint is included. Snack Packs, however, are not included.
About The Badass Instructor...
Melissa's passion for beer began while studying Biology at the University of Delaware and working for Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant. After 5 years and many roles with Iron Hill, she relocated to Colorado and joined the Quality Assurance Department at Avery Brewing Company where she developed and managed their sensory program. She later moved on to join Cara Technology Ltd and AROXA®, where she provided support and training in sensory to American craft brewers. Currently with Kathinka Labs, Mel specializes in all things related to Quality Assurance, assisting brewers by utilizing both sensory evaluation and lab analysis as effective tools to achieve their goals . She considers herself an ambassador for quality beer within her community and enjoys sharing her knowledge of brewing science, best practices, and flavor chemistry.
